A celebrity has the power to influence the world, for example Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey and Jonathan Ive have been named as the world's Most Powerful Celebrity .
 
A celebrity is not only deemed particularly influential due to her millions of followers and fans on social networking sites twitter and Facebook, but also named as “the world's most powerful woman" by CNN and Time. A celebrity could be an influential woman and the most influential black person of her generation and also be one of the most brilliant industrial designers of his generation. A celebrity has the power to let the world follow and his creations can sell in the millions. A Celebrity is also the powerful person who can change the world.


LADY GAGA

lady Gaga has officially been named as the world's Most Powerful Celebrity. In Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity Power 100 list, the 'Born This Way' hitmaker has beaten the likes of chat show host Oprah Winfrey - who has held the top spot for the past four years - teen singing sensation Justin Bieber and Sir Elton John to top the poll. In addition to the $90 million earnings she has accrued over the past 12 months, the 25-year-old was deemed particularly influential due to her millions of followers and fans on social networking sites twitter and Facebook. A statement from the magazine said: 'Lady Gaga tops our power list not just because of her $90 million in earnings, but also because of her 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers. 'Those fans helped move 1 million copies of her hit single, 'Born This Way', in just five days.' Meanwhile, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Natalie Portman were among the stars making their debut on the prestigious list at 3rd, 12th and 75th places respectively.



OPRAH  WINFREY

Winfrey was called "arguably the world's most powerful woman" by CNN and Time.com,"arguably the most influential woman in the world" by the American Spectator,"one of the 100 people who most influenced the 20th Century" and "one of the most influential people" from 2004 to 2010 by Time. Winfrey is the only person in the world to have appeared in the latter list on all eight occasions.At the end of the 20th century Life listed Winfrey as both the most influential woman and the most influential black person of her generation, and in a cover story profile the magazine called her "America's most powerful woman".In 2007 USA Today ranked Winfrey as the most influential woman and most influential black person of the previous quarter century.Ladies Home Journal also ranked Winfrey number one in their list of the most powerful women in America and senator Barack Obama has said she "may be the most influential woman in the country".In 1998 Winfrey became the first woman and first African-American to top Entertainment Weekly's list of the 101 most powerful people in the entertainment industry.Forbes named her the world's most powerful celebrity in 2005,2007,2008and 2010. In 2010 Life magazine named Winfrey one of the 100 people who changed the world, along side such luminaries as Jesus Christ, Elvis Presley and Lady Mary Wortley Montagu. Winfrey was the only living woman to make the list.

JONATHAN IVE

Thanks to the enormous popularity and sheer design genius of a number of products that Jonathan Ive has developed for Apple, the modest and highly innovative Englishman is generally regarded as one of the most brilliant industrial designers of his generation. In addition to staggering sales figures for inventions such as the iPod and iPhone, he has won all sorts of accolades for his revolutionary designs. He was named the Design Museum's first-ever Designer of the Year in 2002, and earned that title again in 2003. 2003 also saw his induction as a member of the Royal Designers for Industry, while the following year he was awarded the RSA Benjamin Franklin Medal. In 2005, Jonathan Ive earned three of his four Silver Pencils from the British Design & Art Direction (D&AD) association, while in 2006, he was named a Commander of the British Empire. He has also won the Industrial Designers Society of America's Industrial Design Excellence Award, the Cooper-Hewit National Design Award and an MDA Personal Achievement Award. In January 2008, London's Daily Telegraph named him the most influential Briton in America, as his creations continue to sell in the millions.
